This part of this European Standard specifies the requirements for materials (including clad materials) for industrial piping and supports covered by EN 13480-1 manufactured from of metallic materials. It is currently limited to steels with sufficient ductility. This part of this European Standard is not applicable to materials in the creep range. NOTE:Other materials will be added later by amendments. It specifies the requirements for the selection, inspection, testing and marking of metallic materials for the fabrication of industrial joining.
