This European Standard specifies the definitions, procedures, criteria and their assessment as well as the
respective documentation related to a qualification system of track work contractors, which relates to the
Directive 2004/17/EC 1) . This qualification system identifies track work contractors that can be invited for
tendering track work contracts.
Evaluation of the contractors applying for parts of the contract, which are not track work, is not covered by this
standard.
This European Standard may also be used for a qualification system of track work contractors applying for
contracts with a value below the minimum limit as defined in the Directive 2004/17/EC.
