TDS are provided with a time-delay device operated by mechanical, thermal, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical means or by a combination of them. Electronic TDS are within the scope of IEC 60669-2-1. TDS including only passive components such as resistors, capacitators, PTC and NTC components and printed wiring boards are not considered to be electronic TDS.
