The 2.4 series thread mated connectors with characteristic impedance 50Ù are used for millimeter wave applications, connecting with RF cables or microstrips. The operating frequency limit is up to 50GHz. These connectors can be intermated with 1.85mm (IEC 61169-32 and IEEE Std 287-2007) connectors. This sectional specification provides information and rules for preparation of detail specification of 2.4 series R.F connectors together with the pro-forma blank detail specification.
