This standard specifies a method for testing, while subjected to bending, the leaktightness and strength of assembled end-load-bearing double socket joints of unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) which allow a maximum angle of deflection of 3°. It is applicable to double socket couples provided with elastomeric sealing rings and locking rings and intended for use with PVC-U pressure pipes. The method specifies the internal pressure, the method of calculation for the additional bending force and the procedure for the bending test.
