This International Standard defines terms of fundamental concepts related to environmental management, published in the ISO 14000 series of International Standards. NOTE 1 – In addition to terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), this document gives the equivalent terms in Spanish, Arabic, German, Finnish, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish. The terms in Spanish are published under the responsibility of the ISO/TC 207 Spanish Translation Task Force (STTF); the terms in Arabic are published under the responsibility of the ISO/TC 207 Arabic Translation Task Force (ATTF); the other terms are published under the responsibility of the member bodies for Germany (DIN), Finland (SFS), Italy (UNI), Netherlands (NEN), Norway (SN), Portugal (IPQ) and Sweden (SIS). The equivalent terms are given for information only. Only the terms and definitions given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms and definitions.
