This standard specifies a method for the quantitative determination of Iron2+ and Iron3+ in oxidic raw and basic materials for ceramics, glass and glazes, e. g. felspar, kaolines, clay, limestone, quartz, by solution spectrophotometry. The concentration ranges for both iron species are within 10 mg/kg to 2000 mg/kg and can be determined in parallel.
