This Standard specifies the additional requirements to ISO 15550 to determine the power of reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines when presented for documenting and checking the declared (rated) power published by the manufacturer. This Standard applies to engines used for propulsion of recreational craft and other small craft of up to 24 m hull length. For determination of power for exhaust emission test according to ISO 8178 the requirements in ISO 14396 apply. This Standard is a satellite standard and shall be applied in conjunction with the Core standard ISO 15550 only.
