This report applies to electrical and electronic equipment and installations in ships. Chapter II applies more specifically to interference suppression components whose failure could endanger the safety of the ship. It does not apply to components intended for use at voltages exceeding 500 V (d.c. or a.c) between conductors, or 250 V (d.c.) or 290 C (a.c.,r.m.s.) between one conductor and earth. It does not apply to components intended for use at frequencies exceeding 400 Hz.
