This International Standard specifies competence requirements for validation teams and verification teams for the benefit of GHG programme administrators, regulators and validation and verification bodies. The standard also provides guidance on methods for evaluating the competence of GHG validation teams and verification teams. ISO 14066 is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of ISO 14066. NOTE – Requirements for management and support personnel competence are specified in ISO 14065:2007 clause 6.
