This part of ISO/IEC 8859 specifies a set of 189 coded graphic characters identified as the Latin/Greek alphabet, and specifies the coded rep resentation of each of these characters by means of a single 8-bit byte. This set of coded graphic characters is intended for use in data and text processing applications and may also be used for information interchange. This set is suited for multiple-language applications involving the Latin and Greek scripts.
