This standard does not apply to - household range hoods (EN 60335-2-31), - hoods not incorporating a fan, - hoods designed exclusively for industrial purposes, - hoods intended to ne used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas), - hoods designed for use in vehicles or on board of ships or aircraft, CLC/TC 61 secretariat's note: All other Part 2 standards just state that additionally requirements may be needed in Note 103. - hoods with special treatment of cooking fumes, e.g. UV-C treatment, plasma-treatment, catalyser, etc., - ventilation and air conditioning systems, - exhaust air systems. Replace NOTE 102 by the following: NOTE 102 Attention is drawn to the fact that in many countries additional requirements on the safe use of the appliances covered may be specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour, the national water supply authorities and similar authorities.
