This document gives recommendations for the processor of coils according to EN 10080 on controlling the straightening process in such a way that the effect on the performance characteristics is limited and controlled. The recommendations of this Technical Report apply to a single processing site. This document applies only to straightening by a processor and not to any other processes, e.g. cutting and bending. The processing of coil to helical or radiused reinforcement is covered by the reference to the straightening process. This Technical Report does not apply to bars produced by straightening of coils by the coil manufacturer according to the requirements of EN 10080.
