This document specifies in situ requirements for verification of performance of a multi-sports floor system designed for use in indoor sport halls and gymnasia. The purpose of this document is to help testing laboratories to interpret in situ measurements. This document also applies to single sport facilities designed for the following sports: volleyball, basketball, badminton, small sided football, and handball. NOTE 1 – Physical education is considered as a multisport use. NOTE 2 – Part 1 covers essential requirements (as defined in regulation EU N° 305/2011) for multi-sports floor systems designed for use in indoor sport halls and gymnasia. NOTE 3 – Additional characteristics for multi-sports floor systems designed for use in indoor sport halls and gymnasia are specified in part 2 of this standard. This document does not apply to synthetic turf or textile surfaces used indoors.
