The technical requirements for the design of fishing gear and aquaculture equipment focus on: - Development and selection of materials and components; - Manufacture, assembly and disassembly; - Use and maintenance; - Repair, re-manufacturing and refurbishment; - Storage, transport; and - End-of-life including recycling. This document excludes design aspects related to enhancement of the capture of fisheries.
