1.1 This standard covers performance test methods of fuel cell power systems intended to be used for electrical powered industrial trucks. 1.2 The scope of this standard is limited to electrical powered industrial trucks. Hybrid trucks that include an internal combustion engine are not included in the scope. The scope of this standard will be applicable to material handling equipment, e.g. forklifts. 1.3 This standard applies to gaseous hydrogen-fuelled fuel cell power systems and direct methanol fuel cell power systems for electrical powered industrial trucks. The following fuels are considered within the scope of this standard: – gaseous hydrogen, and – methanol 1.4 This standard does not apply to reformer-equipped fuel cell power systems.
