This standard describes a method for defining requirements for plastic materials used in extrusion based additive manufacturing processes. Materials include unfilled, filled, special additives (e.g. flame retardants, stabilizers, etc.) and reinforced plastic materials suitable for processing into parts. Processes include all material extrusion based additive manufacturing processes. This specification is intended for use by manufacturers of materials and/or plastic parts using material extrusion based additive manufacturing. This specification also applies to plastic materials manufacturers providing feedstock to be used in extrusion based additive manufacturing processes.
