This document establishes general requirements for organizations, that offer guided or self-guided visits in order to enable visitors, to learn: – how a service, an activity or a product is developed now or was developed in the past (industrial tourism) or – about the characteristics on the cultural, historical or natural value of a tourist site. The requirements of this document are applicable to those visits and their related services, including their facilities and equipment, as well as their internal operation, in order to enhance the tourism experience of the visitor. This document does not apply to natural protected areas for which ISO 18065:2015 applies, or to recognized museums.
