This document defines the requirements concerning operator safety and environmental protection for closed transfer systems for liquid formulations of plant protection products (PPP) or compatible products in 1 to 20 litre containers and specifies the maximum potential contamination during any single transfer operation. The actions required to be completed in a single transfer operation are: Starting from the container being removed from any secondary packaging, connection of the transfer device, completion of the product transfer procedure, measurement of part of packs where applicable, rinsing of the pack and the transfer device, and removal of the pack ready for storage or disposal. This document does not have the purpose of determining the actual level of operator exposure experienced when filling or using the application equipment.
