This standard defines the use cases, the general requirements and technical definition for supporting emergency service via P-ITS-S. P-ITS-S device shall act as a monitoring and data transmitting device of speed change, accident impact, and airbag deployment to judge an accident occurrence and severity. Once gathered data has verified as an accident, an automated emergency service request message shall be sent to an emergency service provider. The use cases in this standard shall be categorized on the basis of processing flows for accident detecting system. This standard only concerns on the core flow for the accident detecting system. The implementation method and hardware requirements are beyond the scope of this standard.
