This document specifies the big data reference architecture (BDRA). The reference architecture includes the big data roles, activities, and functional components and their relationships. The reference architecture specified in this document defines: <br />• A conceptual model for a big data ecosystem defining roles/sub-roles and their relationships within that ecosystem. <br />• A description of the types of activities associated with the roles and sub-roles within a big data ecosystem. The key goal of this reference architecture is to facilitate a shared understanding across multiple products, organizations, and disciplines about current architectures and future direction.
