This class guideline covers the design and assessment procedures for hull structures, cargo tanks and supporting structures of liquefied gas carriers with prismatic independent tanks type A and B.

The typical ship and tank type of gas carriers with prismatic independent tanks type A and B may be characterized by the following:

— four (4) cargo holds

— centerline longitudinal bulkhead inside cargo tank

— transverse swash bulkhead in the middle of cargo tank

— vertical, horizontal, longitudinal, and anti-floatation supports of tanks.
