Introduction

This Classilication Note is a guidance for those who are involved in the approval and cenilication of a Loading Computer System for a specific ship. I.e. the software manufacturer who wish to have his soflwa re approved for a specific ship or the yard which needs an approval and certification of the Loading Computer System in stalled on board a vessel they are about to deliver.

Requirements for Loading Computer Sys tems for spec ific sh ips arc given in the Rules for Cl a~s ification of S hips, PL.6 Ch.9.

This Classification Note is also guidance for those manufacturers who wish to have their software type approved.
