Scope, limitations, and validity

This Classification Note includes procedures for evaluation of fatigue strength, but not limited to, for the following:

- Steel ship structures excluding high speed light crafts.

- Foundations welded to hull structures

- Any other areas designated primary structures on the drawings or ship structures Attachment by welding to primary ship structures, such as double plates, etc.

This Classificulion Note may be adapted for modification to existing ship structures, subject Lo the limitations imposed by the original material and fabrication techniques.

This Classification Note is valid for steel material with yield stress less than 500 MPa
