3) Different parts of the pipeline system may be designed to different codes. It is important to identify differences between these at an early stage and assess these. Examples of conflicting requirements are; pressure definitions and system test pressure requirements.

4) The owner may apply this standard on sub-sets of the limits of this standard. Typical example of excluded items is smaller diameter piping such as kicker lines and designs these to e.g. ISO 15649.
