This RP contains processes to ensure that data-driven applications (Figure 2-5) are trustworthy throughout their life cycle. Accordingly, this RP provides recommendations and requirements on several levels, as follows:

— organizational level, which covers the maturity of the organizations developing, operating, and maintaining data-driven applications, and the capability of the organization to conduct data management, risk management, and decision management

— project level, which covers project planning, controlling, information management, and quality management

— life cycle processes level, which covers processes in the entire life cycle of a data-driven application

— product level, which covers the required properties of trustworthy data-driven applications.

This RP covers data-driven applications powered by classical AI models and/or non-AI models with the following exceptions:

— machine learning models

— ontology, semantic technologies

— simulation models.
