These new Rules were decided by the Board as of June 1997 and come into force on 1st of July 1997.
The former Pt.1 Ch.2 of the Rules for Classification of High Speed and Light Craft has been replaced by the new chapters Pt.7 Ch.1 and Pt.7 Ch.2 to correspond with the format of the Rules for Classification of Ships.
This chapter covers the application and scope of the rules for HSLC in operation. The rules in this chapter is an addition to the preceding rules as they were given in Pt.1 Ch.2.
This chapter is valid until superseded by a revised chapter. Supplements will not be issued except for an updated list of minor amendments and corrections presented in the introduction booklet. The introduction booklet is normally revised in January and July each year.
Revised chapters will be forwarded to all subscribers to the Rules. Buyers of reprints are advised to check the updated list of Rule chapters printed in Pt.0 Ch.1 Sec.1 to ensure that the chapter is current.
