The present edition of the rules includes amendments and additions approved by the Executive Committee as of November 2010 and supersedes the July 2007 edition of the same chapter.
The rule changes come into force as described below.
This chapter is valid until superseded by a revised chapter.
Main changes coming into force 1 January 2011
• Sec.1 General Regulations
— In items B201 to B203 the class notations have been amended.
— Three new items, B207 to B209 have been added and previous item B207 has been renumbered accordingly.
• Sec.7 Machinery, Propulsion and Positioning
— In item B101, references to Pt.4 Ch.1 have been corrected.
Corrections and Clarifications
In addition to the above stated rule requirements, a number of corrections and clarifications have been made in the existing rule text.
