This document describes services provided by DNV as a qualifying company related to:

— the qualification of manufacturers of special materials, as specified in NORSOK M-650

— conformity assessments of manufacturers of special materials, as specified in ISO 17782.

The document establishes procedural requirements for obtaining and retaining DNV deliverables and certificates. The document specifies the obligations of the customer as well as DNV 's service obligations to the customer.

Application

This document is applicable to all manufacturers of special materials that do not have any specific orders but that wish to hire DNV as a qualifying company to demonstrate their fulfilment of specified requirements in NORSOK M-650 or ISO 17782.

The document may also be applicable to second parties, e.g. purchasers of special materials, which want DNV to act as a qualifying company and represent their interests.

DNV's customer for the services described herein is a manufacturer or second party.

In the context of this document, the term qualification shall be understood to also cover conformity assessment.
