This service specification provides guidance on the preparation of a verification plan, using DNV's risk differentiated levels of verification activities and detailed example scope of work tables. It also presents DNV's implementation of and reporting on the verification plan.

This service specification introduces a tiered description of verification involvement relevant to each phase of an asset's lifecycle. It facilitates the categorization of the risk levels high, medium, and low, assisting in an evaluation of the risk level. The document supports the planning of verification through the development of a verification plan and describes DNV documentation of the process throughout.

Structure of this document

This document is structured as follows:

— Sec.1 explains the relationship between this document and DNV’s overall risk-based verification systematics.

— Sec.2 describes the activities for each project and the project phases for a PtX facility or system.

— App.A presents trigger questions to inform the selection of an appropriate verification level.

— App.B gives detailed example scope of work tables for the different phases and levels of involvement. These tables are the basis for the development of project specific scope of work tables.

— App.C presents examples of DNV verification documents issued during and following the verification process. The use of quality management systems is also addressed.
