Overview of different analysis levels
In order to achieve the objectives described in [3], two different analysis levels are defined. The two different analysis levels are applicable for the design of MPV’s according to the vessel characteristics as described in Table 1.
Level 1 analysis must be carried out as part of the mandatory procedure for the structural verification for MPV’s.
Findings from the more comprehensive Level 2 analysis may result in additional strengthening.
