Objective and application

This class guideline (CG) is prepared for ship owners, operators, yards and service suppliers approved for thickness measurements of ship's structure, in order to facilitate co-operation through a common understanding of the procedures for ultrasonic thickness measurements (UTM) at class surveys. Condition assessment program (CAP) is not covered by this class guideline. This class guideline applies to all types of steel ship classed with the Society.
