This service description supersedes the previous DNV-DSS-401 that described services denoted Technology qualification management offered by DNV GL. This new service specification describes:

— A performance-based, end-to-end service offering from early planning through to verification of deliveries and their designated service, and their cessation of use. This includes the technology qualification management services already described in the previous DNV-DSS-401 which is now found in [3.3].

— The connection between the services provided by DNV GL for technology qualification and verification of compliance with acceptance criteria and limits.

— Involvement required by DNV GL depending on the requested service and the pertinent project phase.

Focus of this document is placed on the transactions and hand-overs for which technology qualification and verification of compliance with validated requirements is needed:

— When planning is completed and agreement is made with a supplier that takes responsibility for delivery.

— At delivery, when responsibility for the delivery is handed over to the owner or another recipient.

— When operations cease and responsibility is handed over to an (internal or external) recipient for discontinuing the operations in a responsible manner.

This document is subdivided into sections that address planning, delivery, operation and cessation.

The technology qualification services described in the previous DNV-DSS-401 are now mainly described under the Technology qualification management in [3.3].
