The standard focuses on the performance-areas of teaching professionals in the maritime industry and addresses all operational areas related to design, delivery and assessment of learning programmes.
The teaching professional needs to be able to prepare and deliver the programme he/she's assigned to and verify that learners at the end of the programme have met the learning objectives.
Simulator specific items were left out of this standard and can be found in DNVGL-ST-0025 Competence of maritime simulator instructors, which contains the generic competencies as well.
