This standard operating procedure describes the method fo documenting receipt of samples to be tested in a QC Dept. This method is suitable for lot release, stability, receiving inspection, method validation, and other sample types. This procedure does not apply to microbiological samples obtained during environmental monitoring, or to QC retention samples. (For QC rentention sample receiving, see 09-0088-SOP-1.0, Retention Sample Requirements.) This procedure includes two forms as attachments, Sample Receiving Log, and QC Testing Request.
