This standard established a test method to ascertain the ability of fully wired connector assemblies to resist the effects of dry dust (fine sand) laden atmosphere.

Object

This object of this test is to simulate the effect of sharp edged dust particles, (up to 150 micrometers in size) which may penetrate into cracks, bearings and joints.
