Version 3.0.0 of this TR is the result of the consultation with the other ETSI TBs and outside ETSI. ________ Standardisation work beyond the Initial Phase of UMTS (the initial phase of UMTS is covered by the Third Generation Partnership Project - 3GPP) will initially focus on Services and Systems Architecture. Examples of work to be studied in this report include the vision for UMTS based on IP, ATM, IP over ATM, etc...; Virtual Home Environment (VHE), Virtual Network Operators (VNO)... using as a basis U-99031. What should be the role of EP UMTS in defining the key characteristics for UMTS Phases 2 / 3?
