PURPOSE AND SCOPE

ED-102B Change 1 includes updates, corrections, and additional material to support implementation of the Minimum Operational Performance Standards for 1090 MHz Extended Squitter Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) and Traffic Information Services – Broadcast (TIS B) ED-102B. The main item addressed in these changes is a modification to the Traffic Uplink Management Message in order to ensure backward compatibility with the Version 2 TIS-B/ADS-R Surface Status Message. Each section that includes changes is included in its entirety. The section numbers correspond to those contained in the published ED-102B MOPS.
