This specification defines systems which measure continuously Fuel Mass Flow to the engine under both ground running and flight operating conditions.

The specification covers mass flow metering systems comprising:

a/ measuring elements that meter the fluid flow, and

b/ registering elements that indicate the total fluid quantity passing through the transmitter.

The measuring elements that meter the fluid flow may be either a single element which senses mass flow directly or multiple elements of various types from which mass flow can be computed.
