INTRODUCTION

Working Group Nr 7C was directed by the Council of EUROCAE to study and draw up a minimum performance specification for airborne automatic dead reckoning computer equipment only utilizing aircraft heading and Doppler obtained velocity vector data. This document deals with the result of this work and the associated recommendations.

Because measured values of radio equipment performance characteristics may be a function of the method of measurement, standard test conditions and methods of test are also recommended in this document. Additionally, environmental test requirements have been specified in respect of those parameters which experience has shown to be susceptible to environmental conditions.
