PURPOSE OF THIS ADVISORY CIRCULAR (AC).

This AC contains information and guidance for servicing, ground handling, and marshalling an aircraft. The general information contained in this AC is not all-inclusive when servicing, ground handling, and marshalling an aircraft, and does not override any variances or additional procedures at a local airport. The contents of this document do not have the force and effect of law and are not meant to bind the public in any way, and the document is intended only to provide information to the public regarding existing requirements under the law or agency policies. There is no Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) rule that specifically addresses aircraft ground handling, servicing, and marshalling; however, elements of these topics could be addressed under the following regulatory requirements: part 91, §§ 91.1073 and 91.1085; part 121, §§ 121.133, 121.135, and 121.137; part 135, §§ 135.21, 135.23, and 135.619 and appendix A; and part 139, § 139.329.
