This specification applies to new equipment and contractor modifications. It establishes the requirements for instruction books necessary for installation, operation, maintenance, training, and supply support of power systems purchased by the Federal Aviation Administration. It provides a flexibility in the makeup of the instruction books to permit the inclusion of technically adequate, commercially available books, or portions thereof, introduced and assembled in accordance with specific FAA format and quality printing requirements as specified herein.
