This order revises the procedures for completion and use of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Form 8130-3, Authorized Release Certificate, FAA Form 8130-3, Airworthiness Approval Tag. The order describes the use of the form for the following purposes:

Conformity inspections;

Airworthiness approval of new products, parts, and appliances;

Splitting bulk shipments of previously shipped products, parts, and appliances;

Approval for return to service of products and parts; and

Export airworthiness approval of Class II and III products.
