FCI 81-1-1985 (R1998) PDF

This standard describes the recommended proof testing of temperature regulators with ratings up to a maximum of 1500 psi (10350 kPa) at 100°F (38°C) to ensure operation at or below the manufacturer's rated pressure. Sizes from 1/4 inch NPS up to 8 inches are covered by this standard.
The purpose of this standard is to create common guidelines for establishing pressure ratings for use by manufacturers, users, specifiers and approval bodies in order to promote a consistent pressure containment integrity.
