INTRODUCTION
Sections, also referred to as sectional views, should be drawn where interior construction must be shown but cannot clearly be described by hidden lines in exterior views. A section is drawn to show how the cut portion of the object would appear if an imaginary cutting plane were passed through the object perpendicular to the direction of sight.
