1. SCOPE:
1.1 The foot switches described herein are of two basic types: Type A - Those approved for use in general application throughout the Ford Motor Company as noted in 1.2. Type B - Those approved as noted in 1.2 for specific control of presses, shears, and similar machines or equipment. 1.2 The application of a foot switch to control an operation shall have the approval of the plant safety engineer.
