Former ESB-M3G89-A suffix designation corresponds to the ESB-M3G89-C1 suffix designation, 0.032 in (0.81 mm) thickness. Existing drawings specifying ESB-M3G89-A do not require revision to reflect this new suffix designation.

C2: The material defined by this specification is a urethane foam tape coated on both sides with an acrylic, pressure sensitive adhesive and protected with silicone treated paper or polyethylene release liners.

Both tapes are available in three thicknesses, 0.032 in (0.81 mm), 0.045 in (1.14 mm) and 0.060 in (1.52 mm). The thickness must be specified on the engineering drawing.
