1. SCOPE:
The material described herein is a semi-closed cell polyurethane foam core, fully butyl covered tape sealer. An enclosed monofilament line may be required to minimize "stretching" or "necking" in certain applications. This type of tape sealer has a release liner on one side, while the opposite side has an additional pressure sensitive hot melt adhesive applied to butyl. The additional adhesive must be uniformly and sufficiently applied without voids, forming an integral part of the butyl sealer system.
