1. SCOPE
This specification defines the performance requirements and processing procedures for bright decorative coatings on interior and/or exterior thermoplastic or thermosetting rigid plastic parts produced by vacuum deposition of metals. The finish consists of an organic type base primer to provide adhesion to the plastic substrate, a vacuum deposited metal layer to provide a bright appearance, and an organic type clear topcoat to protect the metallic surface.
