1. SCOPE

This specification defines the performance requirements for exterior plastic parts having a second surface decorative finish. This finish is generally obtained by vacuum metallizing and painting. A hot stamping process may also be used in combination with vacuum metallizing or painting, provided the resulting finish meets the performance requirements of this specification.
